Dan Lavigne - Senior Risk
Management Specialist

Dan Lavigne has 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on the construction sector. He specializes in insurance and risk management solutions for equipment driven operations, which includes specialty insurance program development, and policy audits and improvements. Dan is an expert in completing comprehensive risk assessments to fully evaluate all aspects of the operations of a business, including facilities, equipment, and employees. This thorough process allows for a deep understanding of a company, which ultimately results in catered products and enhanced protection.

Working closely with his clients’ management teams, Dan has reviewed contracts, developed specialized underwriting techniques and risk management approaches, and placed coverage for complex multi-million dollar initiatives such as Hebron Project and West White Rose Project.

His advice includes self-insured retention strategies and other alternative risk transfer methods and techniques.

BOB HANNA - CRANE SPECIALIST

Bob Hanna has 50 years of experience in the crane industry. He started his career as a tower crane operator in 1970. In 1974 he began operating mobile cranes for C.W Smith Crane Services and was promoted to Sales Manager. He moved on to All Canada Crane in 1994, beginning his lengthy tenure as the general manager of one branch, quickly opening and leading five more across the country, and ultimately being promoted to Vice President of Subsidiary Operations of Canada.

Bob was a member of the Board of Directors for the Crane Rental Association of Ontario from 1991 to 2016, holding the position of President for the majority of this time. He was involved in a front committee for provincial negotiations and was a trustee for the Operating Engineers Training Institute of Ontario for six years.

His noteworthy experience includes leading projects with Dofasco, SNC Lavalin’s Goreway Power Station, Northland Power’s Kingston Generating Station, Halton Hills Generating Station, K+S Potash in Saskatchewan, and the Long Harbour Processing Plant in Newfoundland and Labrador.
